The Team Behind Your Straight Smile

Straightening your smile takes a lot of work, so having a dedicated team of professionals is essential to get the job done. Here at Lifetime Orthodontics, we’re committed to giving you a Beyond the Smile experience from the moment you contact our Clinton Township or Grosse Pointe office. Let’s get to know the team behind your straight smile and how each plays a part in your treatment.

Practice Manager

Our practice manager, Kim, handles our daily operations and supports Dr. Wesley and the team so that we can take great care of our patients.

Scheduling Coordinator

When you contact Lifetime Orthodontics, the first person you’ll talk to is one of our amazing Scheduling Coordinators, Tamara or Gabriela. They’ll set you up in our system and schedule your appointments with Dr. Wesley.

Our Scheduling Coordinators keep communication flowing when you call, email, or text us. These ladies are truly fantastic!

Treatment Coordinator

Think of a Treatment Coordinator as your direct link to your orthodontist. Your Lifetime Orthodontics Treatment Coordinators, Satanya and Dani, will assist Dr. Wesley during your initial exam and discuss any questions you have about your treatment.

Your Treatment Coordinator will walk you through how your orthodontic adventure will fit into your everyday life and work with you to create a payment plan that is truly affordable for you.

Financial & Insurance Coordinators

At Lifetime Orthodontics, you can feel confident that you’ll get all the financial information you need before starting your treatment.

When it comes to the financial aspects of your treatment, Shawn has all the answers. She will manage your financial contract and answer any questions you have along the way.

Hannah, our insurance coordinator, will handle your insurance claims. If you have dental insurance, Hannah will help you determine if you have orthodontic benefits and how much they’ll cover.

Clinical Coordinator

Every business has a person who keeps things running smoothly, and Haley makes it happen at Lifetime Orthodontics. She helps our team coordinate behind the scenes and stay cohesive across the board.

Certified Orthodontic Assistants

Our orthodontic assistants, Ashley, Alexis, Danielle, and Lailaa, have the experience and chairside manner to give you the best experience at every visit!

Typical responsibilities for an orthodontic assistant include:

  • Assisting the orthodontist with treatment.
  • Taking X-rays and records.
  • Educating patients about oral and overall health.
  • Serving as a communication link between the patient and doctor.
  • Preparing the teeth for the placement of orthodontic brackets and bands.
  • Working with the orthodontic archwires.
  • Taking impressions and instructing patients in all areas of treatment.

Orthodontic assistants also play critical roles in motivating patients to do their part to achieve the best results from treatment.

The Team Behind Your Straight Smile

Orthodontist

Dr. Wesley, your Lifetime Orthodontist, is responsible for your treatment. He’ll examine your mouth and review your records to create a personalized treatment plan to meet your needs.

After creating your treatment plan, Dr. Wesley will communicate the details to you and your family. Next, he’ll place the clear aligners or brackets and bands, adjust the archwires throughout treatment, and keep everything on track as things progress.

Marketing Director

Our marketing director, Kristy, handles the marketing side of Lifetime Orthodontics. When you see us on social media or visit our website to learn about treatment, Kristy is the mastermind behind it all. Kristy is responsible for getting us connected with our community and building relationships outside the office as well as inside.

What to Expect from Your First Visit

When you arrive at our Clinton Township or Grosse Pointe office, one of our helpful team members will warmly welcome you and show you around. After making sure you’re comfortable, we’ll review your medical and dental history before taking  photographs, 3D images, and a digital scan.

Once we’ve collected your information and scans, you’ll meet one-on-one with Dr. Wesley. He’ll thoroughly examine your teeth, gums, and mouth and ask relevant questions, such as if you’ve had difficulties chewing, swallowing, or opening and closing your mouth.

All of this information combined gives Dr. Wesley an all-encompassing picture of what your individualized treatment plan should consist of. He will make a diagnosis and give you an accurate course of treatment for you and your unique smile.

At Lifetime Orthodontics, we never want you to feel like we’re rushing you through your appointments, especially the first one! This will likely be the longest visit of your orthodontic journey. Most consultations will take around an hour since we take the time to discuss your diagnosis and the orthodontic process and answer any questions you may have up to this point. You can expect us to cover topics such as:

  • any oral issues you are experiencing
  • if treatment is needed immediately or if you can wait
  • what treatment options are available to correct the problem
  • an estimate of how long we expect your treatment to take
  • the total investment required for treatment
  • payment or financing options customized to your situation

The team at Lifetime Orthodontics takes pride in creating individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s unique needs, lifestyle, and goals. By customizing our approach, we produce beautiful results that last!
