Meet Dr. Gerald Wesley
Dr. Gerald W. Wesley is a native of southeast Michigan. He grew up in the town of Marine City, where he enjoyed the outdoors and athletics, including football, basketball, and track.
Education
Dr. Gerald Wesley graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences in 2009. Afterward, he attended the University of Detroit Mercy’s School of Dentistry in 2014, earning his DDS with honors.
Dr. Wesley continued training at Detroit Mercy until he completed his orthodontic specialty program and earned a Master of Science degree in Orthodontics in 2016. While in the program, he completed his thesis on TMJ, condylar morphology, and cone beam computed tomography.

He’s certified by the American Board of Orthodontics and is a member of several orthodontic organizations, including:

Expertise
Dr. Wesley is a committed, life-long student in his field, logging more than 70 hours of continuing education credits this past year alone!
His orthodontic interests focus on advancing technologies and treating you beyond just your smile.
This includes airway-friendly treatment, temporomandibular joint management, and soft tissue management.
Outside of the Office
Dr. Wesley keeps busy with several other interests, including road cycling, snowboarding, hiking, camping, and concerts of all kinds of music.
Perhaps his greatest passion beyond his family, friends, and career is traveling. Over the years, he has spent months at a time in between his studies backpacking around Europe, Iceland, Thailand, and our beautiful USA.
